Our Missionaries & Staff

Irvin and Janet Wenger

Irv and Janet are both professors at the Central American Theological Seminary (SETECA) where they teach missions and music, respectively. As a member of the Executive Committee of the Fraternity for the Advancement of Missions (FAM), Irv is also deeply involved in the Latin American cross-cultural missions movement. Both Irv and Janet serve in a local Guatemalan church, Iglesia Salem.

Leadership training and missions mobilization in Guatemala

Before joining Camino more than thirty years ago, Irv and Janet both worked secular jobs in PA, Irv in the manufacturing industry and Janet in nursing. They have three grown daughters, two are married and along with their families are working with Camino in Texas and Mexico.

Their sending church, where they both had ministry prior to going to Guatemala, is Christian Fellowship Church, New Holland, PA. In ministry, Irv and Janet relate closely to students at the seminary, serving as senior class advisors and leading a mentorship group.  They have also made several ministry trips to Cuba during recent years.
